PRIVACY POLICY
Effective Date: July 22, 2026
MWI, Inc. (“MWI,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect through mwi.com and our related services, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices available to you.
This policy covers information we collect as a business. It does not cover information we process on behalf of our clients when providing marketing services. That information is addressed in the section titled Information We Process for Clients.
INFORMATION WE COLLECT
Information you provide. We collect information you submit directly, including when you complete a contact or inquiry form, subscribe to a newsletter or email list, apply for employment, register for an event or webinar, or communicate with us by email, telephone, or voicemail. This typically includes your name, email address, telephone number, company name, job title, and the contents of your message.
Information collected automatically. When you visit our website, we and our service providers automatically collect certain technical information, including your IP address, browser type and version, operating system, device type, referring website, pages viewed, links clicked, time spent on pages, and the dates and times of your visits. This information is collected through cookies and similar technologies described below.
Calls and voicemail. Our telephone numbers are handled by a third-party telephony provider. When you call us, that provider processes your telephone number, the date, time, and duration of the call, and any voicemail message you leave. We may record or transcribe calls and meetings for note-taking, proposal preparation, and quality purposes. Where we do, all participants are notified at the start of the call, and you may ask us not to record.
Information from third parties. We may receive information about you from advertising and analytics providers, business contact databases, social media platforms where you interact with our content, and event or conference organizers.
We do not intentionally collect sensitive personal information through our website, and we ask that you not submit it to us.
COOKIES AND SIMILAR TECHNOLOGIES
We use cookies, pixels, tags, and similar technologies on mwi.com for the following purposes:
1. Strictly necessary technologies, which are required for the website to function and cannot be disabled.
2. Analytics technologies, which help us understand how visitors use the site so that we can improve it.
3. Advertising technologies, which allow us and our advertising partners to measure campaign performance and to show you relevant advertising on other websites.
The third-party technologies currently in use are Google Analytics, Google Ads, the Meta Pixel, and the LinkedIn Insight Tag.
We obtain your consent before placing non-essential cookies. Our website displays a consent banner, and analytics and advertising technologies do not load and no related cookies are set until you consent. You can change your preferences at any time through the cookie settings control, and you may also block or delete cookies through your browser settings, though doing so may affect how the site functions.
We do not respond to browser Do Not Track signals at this time.
HOW WE USE INFORMATION
We use the information we collect to:
1. Respond to your inquiries and provide the information or services you request.
2. Operate, maintain, secure, and improve our website and services.
3. Send marketing communications, newsletters, and information about our services, where permitted by law.
4. Measure and improve the performance of our own marketing campaigns.
5. Evaluate employment applications.
6. Comply with legal obligations, enforce our agreements, and protect our rights and the rights of others.
Where the General Data Protection Regulation applies, we rely on the following legal bases: your consent, the performance of a contract with you, compliance with a legal obligation, and our legitimate interests in operating and promoting our business.
HOW WE SHARE INFORMATION
We share personal information in the following circumstances:
1. Service providers. We use vendors to host our website, deliver email, provide analytics, manage customer relationships, process payments, and provide security and IT services. These vendors may process personal information on our behalf and are contractually restricted from using it for their own purposes.
2. Advertising and analytics partners. Where you have consented to non-essential cookies, these partners may receive information about your interactions with our website.
3. Professional advisors. We may share information with our attorneys, accountants, auditors, and insurers.
4. Legal and safety. We may disclose information when required by law, subpoena, or other legal process, or when we believe disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, your safety, or the safety of others, or to investigate fraud or a security incident.
5. Business transfers. If MWI is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, personal information may be transferred as part of that transaction.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising as those terms are defined under California law.
INFORMATION WE PROCESS FOR CLIENTS
MWI provides marketing services to business clients, including search engine optimization, paid advertising, social media management, analytics configuration, and website design and development. In performing those services, we may access or process information collected through our clients’ websites, advertising accounts, and marketing platforms.
When we act in that capacity, we act as a service provider or processor on behalf of the client. The client determines what information is collected, what tracking or advertising technologies are used on its properties, and what notices and consent mechanisms are presented to its users. We implement those technologies at the client’s direction and in accordance with our agreement with that client. The client’s own privacy policy, not this one, governs information collected through the client’s properties.
We do not use information processed on behalf of a client for our own purposes, and we do not sell it.
DATA RETENTION
We retain personal information only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this policy, to comply with our legal obligations, to resolve disputes, and to enforce our agreements.
Contact and inquiry form submissions stored on our website are automatically deleted 30 days after submission. Copies delivered to our email and client management systems are retained for 24 months following your last communication with us. Where an inquiry results in a client relationship, we retain records for the duration of the engagement and for a period afterward as required for contractual, tax, accounting, and legal purposes. Employment application materials are retained for 12 months. Website analytics and server log data are retained for 14 months. Marketing email list data is retained until you unsubscribe or request deletion.
Because information you send us may appear in ordinary business correspondence, copies may persist in email systems and in routine system backups for a limited period after deletion from our primary systems. We take reasonable measures to remove personal information from our systems of record upon a valid deletion request, and backup copies are overwritten on our standard backup cycle.
SECURITY
We maintain administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information against unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, and destruction. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
INTERNATIONAL TRANSFERS
MWI is headquartered in the United States and maintains an office in Hong Kong. If you access our website or contact us from outside the United States, your information may be transferred to, stored in, and processed in the United States, Hong Kong, and other countries where our service providers operate. These countries may have data protection laws that differ from those in your country. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for such transfers, including standard contractual clauses.
YOUR RIGHTS AND CHOICES
Marketing communications. You may opt out of marketing emails at any time by using the unsubscribe link in any message or by contacting us. We will still send transactional or service-related messages where necessary.
Cookies. You may manage your cookie preferences through the cookie settings control on our website or through your browser.
Access and other rights. Depending on where you live, you may have the right to request access to the personal information we hold about you, to request correction or deletion of that information, to object to or restrict certain processing, to request portability of your information, to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent, and to appeal a denial of your request. Residents of California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, and other states with comprehensive privacy laws, as well as residents of the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom, may have some or all of these rights.
To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the information below. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your privacy rights. We may need to verify your identity before responding, and you may designate an authorized agent to make a request on your behalf.
If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, you also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
CHILDREN’S PRIVACY
Our website and services are intended for businesses and are not directed to children under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
THIRD-PARTY WEBSITES
Our website may contain links to websites operated by others. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of those websites, and we encourage you to review their privacy policies.
CHANGES TO THIS POLICY
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the Effective Date above and, where required by law, provide additional notice. Your continued use of our website after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
